Habitica: Gamified Taskmanager App Reviews

Habitica makes your goals and habits fun to master. Ive been "playing" for months now and still enjoy it. Plus it helps add much needed structure to my life and rewards me for getting my tasks done.

With this recent update everything is smaller and harder to read, on an iphone 6 plus that can be a real problem It still has ghost items in the quest section of my inventory and all food items are listed twice I have no idea what is going on with the pets, but it has many of the normal ones in the special colour category and in the normal section it says I have impossible numbers of pets (i.e. twenty pigs) I still wish you could go to the market and allocate points after leveling and things like that I really feel like you dont listen to us, us being the reviewers, and as a subscriber who feels that way its hard to keep paying for this no matter how much money it is

I have been using this app for a while now, and I have been loving it since. The only issue is after this last update, my app crashes whenever I try to look at the "Party" area.

I have used so many todo apps. However, this is by far the best one I have ever encountered. The gamification it accomplishes is far better than anything else out there. Adding the social network to it is brilliant. Ive consistently used todo, toodledo, carrot, epic win, coach.me, and tried so many others but habitica has replaced them all. I look forward to using it even more as its enhancements come along.

So happy with the new update, smaller todo item sizes! Love everything, with one exception: there should be a simple way to conclude challenges. The way I experienced it, after a challenge ended, it was difficult (though possible) to remove its orphan tasks, but I see no way to remove the associated tag! Will the dead tag forever appear in my tag list on every todo? This goes for mobile and desktop.

I am embarrassed by how much Habitica is helping me--I dont even like RPG games but I find myself looking for productive things to do because I want to "play". Highly recommend if you have any habits you want to start or just want to make getting through your todo list a little more fun!

What Loren07 said...but also, why does it keep crashing lately when I want to access Social features? I think the social aspect could be incorporated better into gameplay anyway.... You guys can figure that out.

Habitica is super easy to get into and really fun to play. However, Im having one very small glitch which is bothering me; when I try to equip certain gear, it doesnt show up on my avatar! Is anyone else having this problem?

The lack of any audio is extremely noticeable, adding sound effects would be nice

Hands down the best productivity app Ive ever used. Its made a serious difference in my life. Things I used to dread doing are now daily habits that I almost look forward to, knowing they could help level me up. I am a true Habitica evangelist - I tell everyone about this app. So glad it was recommended to me by a friend.

I would give it a five, but the game seems to become easily overburdened. Currently, it crashes my iPad every ten minutes or so. Itll hang, the screen will go white and show the apple logo for a sec, then return to my lock screen.

The app sometimes causes my DEVICE TO RESTART! This app should be REPORTED unless you fix this problem. It also crashes when I try to create or edit a reward! Otherwise, I like the app.

I think that this game is super fabulous and totally awesome but I think that it would be better if a tab was added for goals like finish school with strait As or get a job or things like that. Also, when you would complete a goal, you could get lots of experience points and coins and stuff. Aside from my idea, I have been noticing the app freeze sometimes when I am scrolling through the public guilds and then the app totally closing. Please fix this problem and think about my idea plz.

Kept crashing at the loading screen, tried deleting it and redownloading it thrice but it still didnt work!!!

Wrote notes while in airplane mode. Got back online and the notes disappeared. Not fun.

This app is so great and I can remember to get things done on a daily basis! I find myself procrastinating less and feeling more accomplished whenever I finish tasks such as homework in my to dos, because Im getting more than a grade out of it. The notifications from the dailies and to dos have been great, but I am getting notifications from tasks that I have already checked off/deleted. Please fix this! Thank you.

I HATE to-do/task lists with a passion! I will procrastinate so hard on them, but turning them into an RPG format has really helped. It also forces that reward/consequence thing that Im so bad at being disciplined with. So as long as your honest with it, its a sweet tool.
