downloaded this last night and love it so much. it's so simple and easy to use. not to mention, not every single thing is hidden behind a paywall. That's what I LOVE most about this app. I hope this app thrives and doesn't become money hungry/greedy. it's so useful.

I’m a life coach and I’ve begun to incorporate this with some of my community. It is an easy way to track progress but make it interactive. I only wish you could heal others in your party in a quest.

This app has been great for helping me develop many habits, work on my weaknesses, and combatting the inability to focus. I don't usually write reviews for apps, but this one has really helped me. I am incredibly grateful for the work this team has done on this app. Would certainly consider paying for the subscription later down the road.

My soul has apparently been waiting for this one since before the dawn of time. Great aesthetics, fun tracking system. Not the easiest to use, and I would love to see a tutorial. But what I most want is a push notification! That would keep me on top of things. But aside from those small suggestions, my wife and I love Habitica so much. Keep up the good work, devs.

I highly recommend this app if you have ADHD I don’t know what makes it so good but it’s worth downloading the app! And if you like RPG games then GET IT!

Excellent application! It keeps me motivated and has several sections to categorize what I want to do. I wish it had a version for the Apple Watch...

This is a really fun way to get things done and it really does work for me. I’m into fantasy and the concept is actually really fun and interesting. I love the party battles and the leveling up—it’s like a dnd campaign for defeating the evil king of unproductivity. But leaning into that camaraderie concept more, the only thing I wish we could do was buy/gift items and potions for your party members or other players. I just think it would be nice. 10/10 productivity app.

This is still absolutely the best gamified to-do list app. It would be perfect if it had the ability to add quests that need to be done every week, but not necessarily on a specific day.

App is okay, just gamifying todo stuff. I started recently so not very experienced with it. Not getting the best vibe from the company though. Why would you lock hair styles behind paid gems?? I would have to pay $2+ immediately just to have my avatar look like me? Decent app and looks like it has potential but pretty immediately put off by not being able to get a beard or other hair styles without actual purchases. Too new to know if you can use gold for these things but judging by the other reviews I don’t think so. I think purchases of things like outfits and backgrounds and other stuff is fine but for basic customization it is a bit heavy handed

I love the concept of the hp bar / you getting damaged for not doing a certain thing and setting you own rewards HOWEVER this app is kinda laggy which is a MAJOR downside especially in this day and age since most of my other apps are smooth. Also this app would greatly benefit from a graph AND calendar showing your completed habits instead of the tiny streaks things that show on your specific habits (which is hard to see).

I wish to add the Arabic language

The app looks great, but I was looking for something with timers that you can start and pause tasks at any time, and also, hourly repetitions would’ve been awesome.

So far I’ve found this is great for habit tracking. Love the retro RPG aesthetic. I don’t think it’s a replacement for a full-fledged task manager—like Todoist, Things or even Microsoft To Do and Apple Reminders—but I don’t think it’s trying to be. I also can’t vouch for the more advanced gamification elements like parties and quests. So far I’ve felt plenty motivated by the HP/XP system and especially by the heat map-style habit conditional formatting. 5/5 highly recommend giving it a try.

My primary complaint is that you can’t go backwards to previous days or even the previous day if you forgot to fill out a habit or a to do list item. The only things you can fix are “Dailies” which are not the only things that I forget to enter sometimes. Why can’t I just go back to the previous day and update accordingly?

This app has lost a lot of its luster ever since the guilds got removed two years ago. It flares up more demand avoidance for me than it does motivation and incentive. The last year’s worth of extras to dress our avatars up with “confer no benefit”, unlike the previous ones that did. The only benefit of paying a subscription now is the gold conversion to gems and the time capsules…but i don’t open up this app enough to even use those. If my avatar wasn’t in the tavern, i’d lose all of my gold for lack of use. And then today, i get a push notification from the app to check out some extra goodies sent to me (and everyone else who still uses it, i’m supposing) — except the app basically stopped functioning. Won’t refresh, nothing — updated it just now and it’s stuck in the intro screen with a rainbow wheel of doom every time i try to open it. So, i guess it’s a good thing i had canceled my subscription to this app earlier this month…even tho’ it’s roughly $15 every three months, it still feels like a waste of money — especially now that it’s no longer working.

I like the different categories, the daily recurring tasks, the ability set reminders and reinforce habits.

i wish the tavern stayed up but with the regular daily tasks you can use your imaginations with it. like instead of “clean room” you could put “swab the deck”. some times i forget to use the app but that is not a fault of the app. i don’t know anything about the subscription thing since i haven’t paid though

This replaces your calendar. There are pixel art items you can buy for your character. The subscription unlocks the full shop but you can still prestige and get seasonal items with the free version.

I like the app! I just wish there was a goal section so I can write them down and complete them other then that it’s great

I wish there were Party Stats for larger parties.

i love this app and its function but everytime i open it it restarts my day, and i lose all my points. iv tried messing with the day restart time but no luck

I don’t understand why Habitica is only 4 stars right now, it’s amazing?!?!? I mean, it has a few bugs but they do not bother me much, if at all. I have been using Habitica for a year and a half now and I have stuck to it more than any other habit/productivity app. It is far more customizable than any other similar app I have used. You can create habits, dailies, and to-do tasks, and tweak all of them to fit your routine best. Plus it’s all gamified! SUPER helpful for someone with ADHD. There is an optional subscription, but it is really not needed at all to get the most out of the app. Every feature is free, the subscription just lets you in on some fun extras. But the base app is wonderful on its own! I HIGHLY recommend you to try this app because it’s completely free with no ads or anything and the subscription feels very optional and not pushy at all. Especially if you have ADHD, have trouble keeping track of your tasks, or want extra motivation for doing them, this is the right app for you.

This app has been my little source of happiness over the past few days. There’s an issue where this app will not allow me to add new habits. It will allow me to add dailies.

This app is one of the better ways I’ve tried to increase motivation to complete tasks and it is fun. Although, the app itself isn’t very intuitive and doesn’t explain parts of the game well. I’ve found myself having to search online for answers about things that should have been evident. Other than that, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a fun way to gamify your tasks.

i like the idea but it doesn’t work for me. theres just too much going on in it. and i dont know what it is about it but ive never been able to use it for more than like 2 days in a row but i started using finch and that is so much easier and i have a 6 day streak with it so far. also i just find the start your day reminder annoying

This app has so much potential. I could get over 100’s of my friends in here as we do play on a discord and most of them would easily pay for the subscription but it’s frustrating when party’s only hold 20-30 people at a time. It would be nice for a workaround or to have parties able to connect to each others progress and such. Please keep growing this app. We have a big Christian community in in our discord and I know many of them would love to join up and play together but going separate is painful. If parties can only hold so many people is there not a way to connect them in a way where progress and stuff can be shown to each others party? Thanks for listening.

You level up your RPG character by completing habit setting tasks and personal goals that you design. Fantastic app for any classic gamer who wishes to improve their life.

I have been using this for a while. I like it and it does help me to keep on track. I wouldn't stick with the serious ones. Habit-forming is basically pretty boring, after all. Habitica has a game and social aspect to it. In my group, we keep each other motivated. So, highly recommended.

I prefer this one out of many actually. Some are too interactive. This is more like those old text based RPG style games with 8bit art. I like the layout of tasks dailies etc. not bombarded with it looking like real game, like some do. Simple, clean and to the task only consideration here is having to buy stuff like quests and equipment and eggs etc with real money. This “paywall” is unnecessary. They advertise it as “supporting them” if that’s true then have a donate button not add ons. Fix: have the same items required to buy via real money still obtainable with good, just set it at a higher gold requirement.

No matter how I tweak the app, no notifications appear. App objectively does not work.

Removing fun features, endless notifications about buying things, and locking half the game behind paywalls. So much potential here but greed got in the way.

This app is so awesome. It’s perfect for the person who needs tasks broken down into bite size pieces and such fun motivation. I love it.

The rewards don’t feel very rewarding, and it doesn’t feel like there’s much to do after they got rid of guilds and the tavern. It was so much better with guilds and the tavern.

I'm sorry, but I've searched and I haven't found the Arabic language, I think if you add Arabic language The percentage of use will increase Application usage in the Middle East

Hi, I love this app. Its helped me a lot. But I’d like there to be a social tab in the IOS mobile app. That appears to be completely missing for me and it’s completely up to date. I also want to add if some of the habits on the left can have the option to only display availability during the days that I plan the habit. Not all of my habits is going to fit under, daily, weekly, monthly, etc. i would like to set days that the habit is highlighted like the dailies. Usually when i select weekly it allows me to pick the days to repeat. But that feature should be on the habit building one too. Theres no add friend or join/create guild feature ob mobile, it only shows the party I created, even if I leave it. Please take a look into these features, thanks.

Like the title says. Habita works for me. Have been using it for years. I can’t express how grateful I am that this app exists. It has saved me in many ways. Developers, please never take it down, and if you do, let me know so I can keep a permanent copy 🙏🏼

Great app for families to keep up with each other and kids but one thing the fact that your limited to what weapons you can use because of your class??? Kinda defeats the purpose of “limited buy now” if this was fixed it would be an easy 5 Star

I love this task manager. It’s done so much to help me with my productivity. I focus more, I don’t forget the things I have to do as often, and the vanity is really aesthetically pleasing. I do have but one thing I wish was in the game. An every other day/week/month scheduling system. I have things that I may not do daily, but certainly bi-daily. It would be convenient to have that inputted.

I got this app and have been using it for 14 days. My only problem is that for the past 3 days, i’ve been only receiving potions as drops. no eggs, no food. I’ve been waiting it out hoping it’s only coincidence, but it seems like the developers are testing to see how far they can go before a player either pays to get gems or a subscription, or deletes the app altogether. The reason I enjoyed this app is because i really liked the pets, but i can’t feed nor hatch anymore and it’s very frustrating. I refuse to pay for this app because i don’t have the money and think it’s really suspicious that the drop ratio is so skewed for me.

I would 100% recommend this app, it is easy to use, master, and look absolutely AWESOME!!!

I like this app and it might help me with my adhd, I don’t know yet but I would like to make a suggestion. So, when you make a checklist if the statements are short you can see them when you click on the task to edit but if they were long you can’t see them really. I would like to have an option to also see the task as a summary or maybe just wrap the text I don’t know really, it would just be nice to see all the items on my checklist because I added steps to some of my tasks.

I adore this app, I use it for every little thing of my day to day life!!! I like the multiple ways you can use it between making habits, having dailies, and the task list. Which I’ll even use for little things like did I pet my cat today, just to boost my motivation a bit. And it’s helped like no other app! Only not possitive thing I’ve experienced is that the interface can be confusing to navigate. Like it’ll take me a few tries before I found the customization screen, or where the pets were. Otherwise I LOVE this app!

Could you please add the smaller cubic widget that shows the to-dos or dailies?

This app is super motivational! It has made me feel so much happier ever since I started using it and I keep accidentally calling it a game because that’s how it feels! Everything I do is fun because I know I’ll get some cool pet or armor or level or coins. I only wish I didn’t have to wait so long to unlock stats. Thank you!!! P.s. one of the reasons I know this is a good app is that the developer actually responds! I know they’re half hearted responses but even putting in the effort to pay somewhat attention to this is awesome!

The subscription is too expensive, and without subscription it’s not good enough. As someone with adhd, it’s just too exhausting to remember everything.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and am with people with a 14 pro and a 15 pro. Very new phones so I know it’s not our fault. This is very buggy, but it looks really cool. Please fix so I can use your app it looks really cool !
